About the Design:1. Color - Lavender is the appropriated color of dentistry and its practice. The change in saturation and hue as depicted in the picture pertains to the dynamism of the practice. Dentistry started out simple & specific. Now there are several specializations catering to the diverse dental problems.
2. Fire - It symbolizes the growing path of dentistry as an applied science. Technology is part and parcel of the progressive status the dental profession is experiencing right now. The Cebu Dental Society and its roster of members are proactive as the animated implication of the fire promotes. To reiterate, the change in color implies diversity but unification in the society.
3. Tester - The VOM is a tester and is symbolic of dental diagnosis and treatment. Prior to treatment in endodontics, we use the EPT or Endodontic Pulp Tester to test the vitality of a tooth. It also depicts the title: "Jack of All Trades". My prosthodontic teacher once said, "A dentist should know the concepts of engineering, arts, medicine, nursing, education and most of the known sciences to be an effective dentist".
4. 3D Molar - It projects strength and complexity of organization. As a dental society of talent and skills, the CDS is so diverse yet finds a way to meet at a common ground. Simply, the differences that each one brings as an individual is what makes the group strong.
